Luke’s understanding of the instructions

This was just too funny, so I had to post it.

Luke the helper (pumping gas)

Luke is always wanting to help. We usually need to find him a job in whatever we are doing. Lately, he has been wanting to help pump gas. Tammy shot this video. If you make it to near the end, you will see how he flaps his hands (and arms). He does this when he gets excited about something (which is pretty often). He does it so much that we sometimes call him Flappy.

Luke’s old room not cooling like it should…

Kayla is staying in the room where Luke and Oliver stayed in the past. It always did seem a little warmer than everything else, but I didn’t give it much thought. It is funny that one of the last texts Tammy has from Emily is talking about spending the night and how hot that room got.

At first, I just straightened a wire hanger and tried to see if I could hook anything. When that yielded some blocks, I was wondering what else might be in there. I carefully lowered my phone in the register and shot these pictures. It is hard to tell from the pictures, but the toys were pretty far in there. We couldn’t reach them with the hanger and our arms. It took the big shop vac to suck the toys out.

Here is part of what we pulled out. The shop vac ate the rest. On a final note, Luke has been happy to have his train back. He is playing with it tonight.

Luke the gatekeeper

Luke and Oliver were having fun playing with a cardboard house we built earlier that day.  Luke is trying to get Oliver to say Abracadabra five times, but that is a hard word for both of them to say. 🙂

Here are a few pics of the house we built.  This was all Luke’s idea.  He came to me earlier in the day saying we needed to cut a window in a box.  He is like a dog with a bone, so after a “few requests”, we found a couple boxes and made this creation.

Luke the anxious?

I wasn’t really sure what word to use to describe his excitement.  Hannah shot this video of him “waiting” for the vending machine.  The boy is just bursting with excitement!

Luke the Crusher

While I was working in the shop last night, Luke discovered the vice.   He was working so hard that his safety glasses steamed up.

Luke the Conductor

Luke figured out how to put the track together himself.  I am not sure why he left the corner hanging off the table, but it does make it more interesting.

Luke playing with his claw machine

Laura & Larry got Luke (and Oliver) a claw machine for Christmas.  Luke has been so excited to play with it every morning.  Some would say he is cheating by the way he is getting the candy into the clay, but I say he improvised.

Oliver and Luke at Emily’s funeral

The boys were all over the stage and Pastor Chuck actually watched them
part of the time. If you would like to see the videos we made for

Luke the Singer – BIBLE!

The first part is him singing along with the CD player, but he goes solo during the latter part of the video. I know I am biased, but I just love this video.
